MEET OUR LEADERSHIP

Joseph B. McGlynn, Jr., is the Founder of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in St. Louis, and continues as the group’s CEO and primary advisor. He has also served as the Honorary Consul General for the Republic of Ireland since 1978.

A visionary, Joe’s list of accomplishments and accolades fills many pages. His volunteer work and civic involvement include service to St. Patrick Center, Fontbonne University, the Notre Dame Alumnae Association, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Knights of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher, and numerous other groups.

A 1955 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Joe went on to earn his law degree from Saint Louis University, and has spent more than fifty years defending corporations and individuals in all manner of civil lawsuits. Joe’s client list has included both domestic and international companies in the state and federal courts of Missouri and Illinois. He continues to enjoy the practice of law in a firm that traces its roots to Joe’s grandfather, who first opened the doors in 1896. Joe has been named as one of the country’s Top 100 Irish Lawyers on multiple occasions.

Joe and Helen McGlynn have been married for over 60 years. They have five children and seven grandchildren.

Mo McGlynn is currently the Managing Partner of Kortenhof McGlynn & Burns LLC, a boutique litigation firm that traces its roots back to 1896, when Mo’s Great-Grandfather began practicing law. The daughter of Parade Founder Joseph B. McGlynn, Jr., Mo has worked on the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee since she was a teen. She first acted as Committee Chairperson in 1999 and 2000, and again in 2020 to set the tone for the next half-century.

Mo has three amazing kids that are the joy of her life – Connor (25), Aidan (22) and Maeve (14). Mo has been on the Board of St. Patrick Center, serving as Board President in 2010, and has remained active in numerous other civic and volunteer roles.

Currently Mo is active in her church, serves with a Homeless Outreach Team in downtown St. Louis, and stays involved coaching underprivileged girls through the Girls on the Run program. She is looking forward to her continued involvement with the nation’s best St. Patrick’s Day Parade for years to come.

Paul Crowe

Committee Chairman

Paul is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Hunter Engineering Company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. He moved back to St. Louis to take this role in 2016 with his wife, Jenny, and daughters, Maggie (14) and Nora (12). While living away from St. Louis, he returned with his family to work on the production of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Run each year as it has been a part of the Crowe Family for 40+ years.

Paul and Jenny are passionate about all things St. Louis past, present and future. Outside of the parade committee, they are actively involved in Easterseals Midwest, Mercy Autism Center, Loyola Academy and other instrumental St. Louis institutions.

Paul is a 1998 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a 1994 graduate of St. Louis University High School. In his spare time, you can find Paul and his family and friends in the stands at Notre Dame Stadium or in the left centerfield bleachers at Busch Stadium cheering on the Cardinals!

Kevin O’Grady Griffin

Kevin was born and raised in St. Louis City and resides now in Manchester, Missouri. He is a former Saint Louis City Police Officer serving our city for over 15 years. Both law enforcement and the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade are in his blood. Kevin’s grandfather began working with the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department on March 17th, 1941 and a member of the family has served on the Department faithfully ever since. His parents and grandparents have been a part of the committee since its inception.

As a third generation Committee Member Kevin counts 2024 as his 40th parade (not counting 2020). He began volunteering as a kid and officially joined the committee in 1999. Originally working on the security team Kevin was the personal security escort for many of our previous honored guests. In 2020, he made the move to Parade Operations serving as Assistant Parade Director for the last 3 years under Kevin Udina, who has been his best friend since high school.

Kevin works in sales support and has recently started a small consulting business. He loves Broadway musicals, building things and trivia nights.

Kevin is the youngest of 5 Griffin boys (God Bless Joan). In 2015, he married the smartest, funniest, most beautiful girl in the world, Teah (who may have written this bio). Kevin is also dad to Ian (24), Reese (6), and future Chairman Grady (4). Last year Ian was married and added Ashley to the clan. Making it a family affair, the Griffins live for this event and pride themselves in raising a chunk of the 4th generation of parade committee members to continue our amazing legacy.
